Brandow Clinic Plastic Surgery

Breast Implants with Lift

Dr. Brandow can combine breast implant surgery with a breast lift at his Philadelphia plastic surgery location to achieve comprehensive improvements to breast size and shape. At the Brandow Clinic, we can address sagging and enhance breast contours in one procedure using breast implants with a breast lift.

Who Is a Candidate?

  • If you desire larger breasts.
  • If you have sagging breasts due to past pregnancies, genetics, or aging.
  • If the sagging is too great to be treated with an implant alone.
  • If your nipple-areolar complexes (the pigmented areas around nipples) are enlarged.

Intended Results from Breast Lift with Breast Implants Surgery in Philadelphia

Breast lift surgery with breast implants can achieve larger, fuller breasts, as well as an elevated, more youthful breast contour. Nipple-areolar complexes can be repositioned to the desired size and at the correct height.

Procedure Description

Dr. Brandow, a certified cosmetic surgeon, will perform the procedure on an outpatient basis under sedation and local or general anesthesia. The design of the incisions can vary but usually include incisions around the nipple areolar complex and in the crease under the breast. The nipple-areolar complex is repositioned higher, the excess skin is removed, and the breast is reshaped in a pleasing contour and in a more normal position. Your breast implant is then inserted beneath the breast tissue and, if necessary, beneath the underlying muscle. You and Dr. Brandow will discuss insertion options before the surgery. Breast implants are available in numerous sizes and shapes to best complement your body type. Dr. Brandow uses saline breast implants when performing combination breast enhancement to ensure patient safety.

Recuperation and Healing After Breast Implants & Breast Lift in Philadelphia

The patient goes home with only light dressings over the incision lines. At your first post-operative visit the dressings are removed and a sports bra is then placed on as a dressing. The bra is worn as a “dressing” for 2-3 weeks. Sutures are usually completely removed within 2-3 weeks. Initial discomfort is easily controlled with oral medication. Light activities may be started in 7-10 days.

Notes on Getting Breast Implants With Breast Lift Surgery in Philadelphia

The specific risks and the suitability of breast implants and breast lift surgery for a given individual can be determined only at the time of consultation. All surgical procedures have some degree of risk. Minor complications that do not affect the outcome occur occasionally. Major complications are unusual.

Anaplastic Large Cell Lymphoma (ALCL):

Women with saline and silicone gel breast implants may have a very small and possibly increased risk of developing anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL) in the scar capsule adjacent to the implant. ALCL is an extremely rare cancer of the immune system which can occur anywhere in the body. The National Cancer Institute estimated 1 in 500,000 women per year in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALCL. ALCL in the breast is even rarer with approximately 3 in 100 million women in U.S diagnosed per year.
