Brandow Clinic Plastic Surgery

Brow Lift

Brow lift surgery in the Philadelphia area can restore a youthful-looking expression. A brow lift, often referred to as a forehead lift, is done on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Dr. Brandow performs forehead lift surgery to improve sagging of the brows, as well as forehead furrows that contribute to aging.

Brow lift surgery can benefit both men and women. A brow lift can correct excess skin of the eyelids, dropping of the eyelids and wrinkles between the eyelids. As we age, a loss of skin elasticity can cause the brows to sag, leading to an older-looking appearance. In some cases, the eyebrow skin may begin to droop over the eyes, impairing vision. Wrinkles and lines between the brows can also cause a tired, angry or sad expression. Brow lift surgery is designed to lift the forehead for a youthful and rejuvenated appearance.

Who Is a Candidate for Brow Lift in Philadelphia?

  • If you have a sagging forehead or brows that hang too low and too close to the eyes.
  • If you have deep vertical furrows between the eyebrows (also known as frown lines).

Intended Results of Forehead Lift / Brow Lift Surgery

A brow lift (forehead lift) can restore a more youthful and rested appearance to the forehead and upper eyelids. Forehead lift surgery is designed to reposition sagging or drooping brows, smooth forehead creases and raise the eyebrows to a more alert and youthful position. Brow lift results are long-lasting and natural-looking.

Forehead Lift, Also Known as Brow Lift, Procedure Description

Forehead lift surgery is done on an outpatient basis under general anesthesia. Brow lift surgery is often performed using the endoscopic technique, which requires only short incisions in the hairline. The operation is done using an endoscope – a narrow hollow instrument with a fiber optic light source and camera through which the procedure is done with small, special instruments. The forehead skin is lifted and repositioned. The muscles that cause frown lines are purposely weakened to reduce forehead furrows.

Dr. Brandow also performs non-surgical brow lift using Botox® Cosmetic. The non-invasive brow lift utilizes Botox® injections to temporarily correct sagging of the forehead, as well as brow wrinkles. Non-surgical brow lifts require virtually no downtime or recovery and offer results lasting months. Dr. Brandow will discuss whether a surgical brow lift or non-invasive forehead lift using Botox® is right for you during your consultation at the Brandow Clinic in Philadelphia.
